i spent a good chunk of the morning writing a looooong post explaining what has been happening in my world... and then my computer decided it needed to be restarted I lost all of my words. sigh. let's just suffice it to say that October has been a challening month, and I will fill in the blanks a bit more at another time. For now, I will share these images of my Sweet Butterfly and Cutie Blue Love Monster from their fun halloween!Hope you had a fun holiday and I wish you a splendid weekend! and here a few lovely fall images. i LOVE fall here in the Northwest! I'm trying to soak it all in before it disappears...
we even had some beautiful blue sky for a few yesterday! what a day...
a couple of weeks ago i flew to boston to attend and photograph the wedding of one of my dearest, and longest time friends, kris, to her amazing man, dennis. i'm sure i had the best seat in the house! i was able to spend the better part of the day with the 2 of them, capturing the incredible beauty and tangible joy and LOVE between the happy couple and every single person who was there to celebrate with them. it was hard for me to choose a handful of photos to share, as just about every one of them evokes so much emotion for me! but here goes it... i hope you can feel a bit of the happiness yourselves!!!!!
ok, i just can't help myself! i want to share every single one!!! and i didn't even get to the reception!!!!!

Working with Jen was a total pleasure. She was relaxed, fun, and very flexible. I started the session feeling self-pressure to have the children dressed just right, the setting perfect, and everyone on their best behavior. Of course, the best laid plans were not to be - yet, Jen still captured the BEST pictures of my family I have ever seen. I highly recommend Jen Downer! ---Holly B
Jen was great!! We spent an enjoyable afternoon with her, and it never felt like a photo shoot. We were all at ease and she captured us as we are. Our photos are beautiful and truly portray our family. ---Becky
Jen and I went to art school together. I was in awe: her images had warmth, happiness and playfulness. Also a bit of nostalgia...the good kind, when memories are brought back with a little smile. She took a great detour after graduation by falling in love and starting a family. She already saw the good things about people, but now it's enhanced by having her own little people to nurture. She's the perfect person to document the special moments of every day life. ---Suzi
